# Jaquan Shaw Charged with Murder and Attempted Murder Following Bathlodge Shooting

ST. JOHN’S, Antigua and Barbuda — Wednesday, September 23, 2026 — Police have arrested and charged 20-year-old Jaquan Shaw of Cashew Hill in connection with Monday night’s fatal shooting in Bathlodge.

Shaw has been charged with the murder of 20-year-old Saquania Anthony and the attempted murders of 24-year-old Kelvin Samuel and 13-year-old Joshua Meade, both of Bathlodge.

The alleged offences occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2026, at a residence in Bathlodge.

According to police, officers responded to reports of a shooting and found Anthony unresponsive with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. She was subsequently pronounced dead.

Samuel and Meade also sustained gunshot injuries during the incident and were transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre for treatment.

Preliminary investigations indicated that several people were inside the residence when three masked intruders allegedly forced their way into the building and discharged several rounds.

Shaw was later arrested as police intensified their investigation and has since been formally charged in connection with the incident.

He is expected to appear before the court this week.

The Police Administration thanked members of the public for their assistance, patience and cooperation as investigations into the matter continue.

Shaw is accused of the offences, and the charges against him have not yet been proven in court.
